Thanks for posting that clip overkill. I didn't know about all that going on. Unfortunately that just backs up my point in the post above and sadly it looks like Al Davis will continue to interfer and fuck any chance the Raiders have of being great again for some time yet. Gruden is the only coach who actually stood up to Davis and hung in there for a while. What does it take for this fuckin control freak to get it into his head that he needs to step down. He is the problem.

He's really doing some massive harm and it's impossible to have a successfull team with such a maniac in the lead.

Kiffin says he hopes to return to Raiders during interview (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3216373)

I really like Kiffin and hope he continues working with the team, but nothing is for sure especially when I consider my first part of this post

According to a newspaper article:
In 2007 Davis sold a minority stake in the Raiders for $150 million and said that he would not retire until he wins two more Super Bowls

The snap was botched, so he could hardly do better. But the winner was amazing, 47 yards out, I think it was the first 40+ FG at Lambeau Field against the Packers in postseason.

Tynes was the first guy to score points in the NFL outside of the USA, when he hit a FG against the Dolphins in London, but he said afterwards "I'd rather be taking penalty kicks for Celtic."

Come on Giants in the SB.

How about a compromise and Davis retires after the Raiders win 2 more games Fuck that might take a while too!

I agree with you about Kiffin. I hope he stays as coach. At least he showed some promise this season and he isn't just rolling over for Davis.

Yeah sorry overkill but the raiders are a joke because of al davis. They used to be well respected with a great owner but now he's just delusional.

I think because hes so old, he wants to see a super bowl win. So he is very impatient even though being so impatient is whats making them a joke.

I heard on ESPN a few days ago about how they make the players were used practice equipment which would never happen at any other nfl club. lowering the morale etc.

Al Davis seems to be older than time itself. he's almost 80 and comes across like a totalitarian. he should be true to himself and step down.
