You like arguments don't you, its a common thing amongst Celtic supporters that if one of their own does something good we will support them And if the rest of the team are huns then it would be a turn up for the books

my point was: people choose to suport something they know nothing about purely because theres a celtic fan playing for them? the same people hate sertain clubs or celebs just because they support rangers. its nothing but childish bigotory

I fancy The New England Patriots to beat the NY Giants 27 - 20.

Good to see a Celtic man doing well but I follow the Pats and the Browns. I wouldn't grudge him his superbowl ring but Pats to end a perfect season for me!

True, I've always heard of Celtic over here. Though not that widely know, Celtic is a recognizable name in North American. Where as, until I started supporting Celtic, if someone had mentioned Rangers I would have assumed they were talking about the hockey team. Unless there are a lot more NFL players who are actually born in Scotland, Rangers just don't have the same cultural affiliation over here that Celtic enjoys.

Maybe, but as long as the Pats go 19-0 this year, I won't mind. I mean it's cool if the Pats stay really competative but after such a huge year, especially if they manage to cap it off with a Super bowl win, it's hard to expect them to be able to repeat what they did this year.

lol just watched the highlights. right at the end he missed a safe field goal. he was lucky enough Favre threw an interception, otherwise I'm sure they would have won.

I hope your right overkill but I fear as long as Al Davis continues to interfer and hire yes men as coaches the Raiders will struggle.

I actually think the same mate. al davis needs to step down and I hope JMR is really as good as we all like to think.

by the way, on another (american) board somebody said 95% of the raider supporters were gangmembers

Yeh I'll be rooting for the Giants this time round - cant stand Tom Brady and the Pats.

Always been a Jets fan myself, play in green/white obviously, but when NFL first shown in UK back mid 80's I always recall they had the QB Ken O Brian, RB was Freeman McNeil and they had a couple of Kelly's, Kearney's and Kennedy's in their squad so I thought that's the team for me.

And I love NYC to absolute bits so I'll be hoping Manning can do the business.

Only piss off factor is that all season these games kick off 6pm and 9:15pm on Sundays, now cos its Superbowl its about quarter to midnight before they kick off.

LOL well I certainly don't qualify as a gangmember. It is interesting how the Raiders seemed to be hated by so many different other teams.

I think Russell probably will be big time. But for me Al Davis is just killing the team. He had his day and he was a big part of what made the Raiders a great team originally. But now he has hung on to control way to long and all he does now is fuck the team and interfer constantly. He fires coaches on an almost yearly basis when what he needs to do is look in the mirror and fire himself.
Russell could be a great starting point for a Raider turnaround but the team needs a complete overhaul and that applies to the coaching side and to Al Davis stepping down and allowing a real coach to come in and take charge as well as an overhaul of the players.

al davis.... Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis has been pushing for coach Lane Kiffin to resign and is considering Dennis Green as a potential replacement, sources close to Kiffin and the team said.
