Nah it's a way of taking his character off tv that was scheduled to happen when he stepped into the limo that blew up only for Benoit to kill his family and take his own life in the following days.

Taking HHH to Smackdown and having Punk carry your mainstream live brand - bold, bold move!

Yeah it is but it's not an unwelcome one, I thought last night's Raw was great in almost every segment. It looks like they're actually going to do something with the Tag Team and Intercontinental Championships, Santino feuding with Rey and Jamie Noble feuding with Kane will be hilarious too.

I'm guessing though, sooner or later Punk will turn heel seeing as he'll have a far more amount of opponents doing that, which will be brilliant seeing as Punk is amazing at being a heel.

Victory for the independents with Punk the champion on Raw and his good friend Samoa Joe carrying TNA!

Santino Marella has huge potential, he's the best mic working heel in ages! If he wasn't so small he'd be a potential headlining heel!

I actually couldn't stop laughing during Santino's promo last night, he's brilliant. I was also surprised how good Cody is on the Mic as a heel, he was pretty lousy when he was talking as a face but then again, he also had the black hole of charisma which is Bob Holly with him.

I'm hoping the next young breakthrough will be Matt Sydal, who has recently debuted on ECW as Evan Bourne. I really enjoy watching quick, high flying guys and wish they would reinstate the Light-Heavyweight title on ECW or something.

It's nice to see WWE changing things up and with the draft I might actually start watching Smackdown regularly again.

It looks like they're going for a proper shake up just now!

Taking McMahon out the equation, giving Smackdown the big hitters and some of the potential feuds they have on Raw are looking good as well!

Smackdown is apparently their biggest show now in the US because the channel smackdown is on is giving them more money than the one raw is on is doing...

think Punk will just carry the title till the next ppv as it was just a way to give raw a heavyweight title...

Joe made Punk with 3 badass matches 2 ended in 60 minute draws one of them gettin the first 5 star match since '97 by a dude in the wrestling observer quite famous

Joe won the 3rd

Joe is a better wrestler and entertainer imo, as is AJ imo but I cant doubt he deserves to be champion considering his rival wrestlers include cena and batista

on a side note celtic top in the 2nd row of impact this week

I think TNA is pretty decent, some of the acting really shite though... that ODB is so poor at acting lol... AJ Styles is good i really like him, along with Sonjay Dutt,Black Machisma, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin - really good wrestlers

Could be the return of Paul Bearer, he had this to say on his website:

"Tuesday, July 08, 2008
ALIVE OR DEAD?

Mercy...
PP.com has had over 20,000 visitors since WWE RAW went off the air last night, and my mailbox has been bombarded with emails. The question of the day seems to be...
"Was Kane's rampage last night about his cemented Father Paul Bearer?"

Sorry, but I can't answer that one. Interesting storyline, isn't it?

Be Blessed.

~Percy"
