Yeah, he left on good terms and will probably come back into a programme with Edge.
I'm more excited about the possibility of Morishima coming to the WWE though.

The Rock would job for Austin absolutely no problem...in his hometown...as he's being inducted into the hall of fame....in his last match. They have a mutual respect and Austin has jobbed for him on the grandest stage of all before.

The WWE needs The Rock a lot more than The Rock needs the WWE, I can't see him agreeing to prostitute his legacy (like Mick Foley has and become lesser for it) and jobbing to Steve Austin unless it's for an absolute crazy amount which will not be beneficial to the WWE. The wrestling relations don't matter to The Rock anymore, he see's himself above that now and has extreme heat for it.

Yeah but as much 'heat' that he may get for his comments its just as much as much as the pop he'll get for returning they love him.

Exactly, so he'd never get over as a heel even if he's against Austin in Texas. It has to be an established Heel like Edge or Orton.

At the moment, WWE has plans for the winner of the SmackDown Scramble match at Unforgiven to subsequently defend the title later in the night against Undertaker. The idea is that Vickie Guerrero would be giving him the title shot as a peace offering.

Disagree, i've read his autobiography and understand he always wanted to be a mainstream star BUT his family is the most important thing in his life and his family is intrinsically linked with professional wrestling. He would never disrespect it by saying he's above it, which he isn't.
I'm willing to bet the WWE tries for it and if they do and the correct set of terms are on the table we'll see Austin v Rock at WM!

It wasn't an autobiography it was ghostwritten.

A number of people in WWE weren't pleased with how Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson came off this past Saturday night. He did not leave a positive impression on a number of wrestlers at the Hall of Fame banquet.
A number of sources report that Johnson did not hang out with old friends before and after his speech at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. He showed up for the speech, delivered one that offended many in WWE and was believed to be too long, and then left.
Some of his former colleagues are saying that Johnson came across as "aloof" and "totally Hollywood," as if he were "above WWE now," not to mention everyone in WWE as well. One of those people include one-time friend Steve Austin, who was openly displeased and taken aback by Johnson's demeanor.

Rey Rey is damn ugly without his mask though and he's coming to the end of his career, his doctors said he shouldn't even jump off a curb or he'll do permanent damage to his knees and that was back in '99...
Mat Sydal (Bourne) is amazing though, I'm really glad when I see indy wrestlers progress up to the big time, he protected the fuck out of Rey in that match.
I heard that in a few years DiBiase Jr is going to retire Taker and take his streak, which would be quite fitting.

You do know what ghostwritten means right?
Or do you mean it was a biography? Which it wasn't.

The Rock did some interviews with a writer and then the writer put in the rest as filler. Mick Foley describes the process in Foley Is Good. Autobiography means to self write an account of your life, which The Rock did not.
