My wife although Scottish born is an avid baseball fan, she is a Braves fan.
Not sure why except that I am fitba daft, but I dont follow any North American sports, I have the daily newspaper delivered to my door seven days a week, and rarely read the sports section, unless I caught a soccer article, funny I dont even keep up with the MSL. |

I guess your wife is a good choice, since she supports the best mlb team

Division Winners:
East: Red Sox (The new japanese sensation looks grand plus they could add JD Drew and keep Manny)
Central: Detroit (The champion of last season will be strong again this year!)
West: Very tight Div, I'd say the Angels will do it, but watch out for Oakland and probably texas, if sosa will find his form again.
East: Braves! Offense was good enough for a playoff spot last year, the bullpen killed us. it's much, much stronger now, beware mets!
Central: Cards, as usual.
West: Padres, Greg Maddux plays for them now.
Wildcard AL: Yankees
Wildcard NL: NY Mets

East: Phillies! We have powerful hitting lineup and our starting rotation is pretty damn good now. With Hamels, Myers, Garcia, Eaton and Moyer. Plus we even have a good reserve starter in the bullpen, John Lieber.

Not really into baseball but if I had to pick a team I have always leaned towards the New York Yankees.
Most important though is that the Texas rangers don't win. Simply because of their name and the same goes for the Chicago Cubs. Bunch of wasp racist wankers and no coincidence both teams wear blue white and red!
