How about those Red Sox? New England is being spoiled lately with all these great teams. I've never enjoyed sports so much.

Officially the new MLB season has started today! They are playing in Japan today as a promotion. Being a huge Sox fan I'm up here in the States at 6:00 in the morning to watch this game. Unfortunately we are losing 2-0 so far.

How far behind you are the Japanese skillswise. I know a few Japs have made it over there but could they compete in a full season of games?

Japanese are pretty far behind just think football. Its like comparing the American league system to the English. Not that drastic but you get the point.

First lets congratulate the Sox on a great win today!

There is quite a big difference in skill level comparing the Japanese to the U.S.. The fact that our season is so long has also made it hard to adjust to when the few Japanese players have come over. They are not use to playing so long and usually get tired in the last couple months of the season.

In my opinion, it's more the travel aspect that has an impact with how absolutely huge our country is compared to Japan.
