You can watch a re-run of Ricky Hatton v Juan Urango on the BBC this weekend

It was on sky box office last weekend & is being repeated BBC Two, 29 January, 0010 GMT.

Meanwhile ,The uk's best boxer,Joe Calzaghe , said of the fight

"I saw the Hatton fight and it makes me think I could do better,"

"Hatton looked good for the first four or five rounds, but, for whatever reason, he tired a bit. He won the fight comfortably, but it wasn't a great fight to watch. I believe I'm the No 1 fighter in the country - and I want to prove myself over there (in America)."

"I want to fight in New York at Madison Square Garden. Some people like the lights of Vegas, but personally I love New York. There's a strong Celtic and Italian connection and I think I'd take off there. I want a big fight in the States before I retire - either Bernard Hopkins or Jermain Taylor. The Manfredo fight is a platform. He's a big name in America and it's going to be the biggest exposure I've had in the States. The fight's live on HBO and recorded as well. It's imperative that I don't just win, but put on a wicked performance."

He should take Manfredo apart.

I watched both series of the contender & i remember saying that a guy like manfredo was no where near a guy of calzaghe's quality

Im still stunned that they are actually going to fight

calzaghe said today thats he's finding it difficult to get motivated for him

I do know that manfredo's being trained by a quality guy now so he may put up a brief fight ...............expect a KO of Life Changing capacity by calzaghe

I fear for manfredo , Hope his wife gets a good pay out when he's gone

I think it could be embarrassing, Calzaghe shouldn't have to KO a bum like this guy just to keep the americans happy.

Surely after the Lacy fight they know he is top quality.

Manfredo's a bum , calzaghe will dismantle him ,then onto one of the 'real' american boxers who will obviosly underestimate him coz he's had to fight manfredo .

Lacy was supposed to be as bad as tyson blah blah blah

well I hope Jermaine Taylor,Winky Wright & Edison Miranda all gains8 pounds so I can see what Mr. Calzaghe is made of.......Manfredo is A Rhode Island Bum!!!!!
