Greetings from Galician celtic country
Hi everyone. I am supporting Celtic since I found out that my soccer team Celta Vigo, is sharing name, meaning and tradicion with Celtic. We are now in troubles, and may be today we get the relegation to secound spanish division. Never mind. We'll keep on supporting Celta even in hell. Congratulations everyone for league and cup. My trip a few years ago to Celtic Park with Celta was one of the best in my life. Oh when the celts....

well, we could say that Galicia belongs to Spain, but we don't feel we are Spanish. We have a different history from Spain, different language, different culture, and even different weather and landscapes. Galicia is a green corner of Europe, land of mist, bagpipes and rain. We are very proud of our celtic heritage. A very sad country now, as Celta Vigo get relegated. The next link may show how we feel today.

Where did it all go wrong for Vigo? You were a Champions League team just a couple of seasons ago.

Is that Amergin the Celtic poet of Irish legends? I've been to Galicia (Santiago de Compostella and A'Coruna). Nice place.

Amergin is in the Galician legends the bard who leads the celts from Galicia to Ireland, fought the Tuata de Danahm and made Ireland a Celtic country. I am living in Ireland now, so I am taking that nick that suits me lots.

It is difficult to explain. We play Champions League and we were relegated the same season, then we back in La Liga 1 and get UEFA cup positions, so this season we played in Europe and again relegated. We are Celta, that's all....

It must be difficult holding onto your better players. What about managers? Have you changed managers a lot recently?

That is the problem in the Spanish league. We change the manager two months ago, when the team was close to relegation and now the manager is Hristo Stoichkov, the former Barcelona player. But is a players foult as well as new chairman. Most of the player were talking about business with other teams before the relegation... and nobody in the club did anything...
