Hi everyone my name is Johan I'm a french guy and definitly a fan of the Celtic team. I was in Glasgow last year, I was in Caledonian Uni. I have to say I miss a lot Glasgow and the people there so friendly, although the weather is shit :p .

Well just want to say that I really discovered what football was only a year ago, when I was in Glasgow, I had been a lot at the "Parc des Princes", (the PSG stadium) and I thought the atmosphere was good in this stadium but no way! I went to see a few games at the Celtic park to watch this fabulous team and this fabulous crowd, and now I can say I know what football is, cause I've never seen players running so much and giving always the best of themselves for the club. I know now what is to be a supporter, I've never seen a crowd singing all together like this! I have to say thank you guies, best memories ever when I went to see Celtic in the Chanpion's League, we won 2-0 against Lyon, wonderfull Larsson, Miller and Sutton, all my french friends were for Lyon but I wasn't and I was the only one who went singing to the pub to take a few guiness! Got to say thank you too for the game this year against Barcelona when you all sang "You'll never walk alone" covering the Champion's League song, I had tears in the eyes, (I saw it on TV) and I really believed we could win when Marshall stoped Ronaldihno's penalty and when this fabulous Sutton scored the goal.
Well I'll stop myself cause I see it's written "post quick reply" sorry... :s

Just want to say I love Celtic and I'm glad I found a good fan site! :)

Hi, my name is Joris. English is not my native language, so there can be a lot of faults in it, but I hope you can understand it. I’m from the south of the Netherlands. I followed Celtic since the late 80’s. The reason is quiet strange. In 1988 PSV played the European Cup Final against Benfica. Before the match they showed old success from Dutch clubs in Europe. Therefore I saw the final Feijenoord-Celtic. The match was in showed in black & white, but the shirts of Celtic made a big impression on me. Also the name sounds very nice to me, Celtic. From that time I followed Celtic. I think it was around 1995 that I saw a Celtic game for the first time on the television. I think it was because van Hooijdonk began to play for Celtic. It was a game against the Huns. I was absolutely stunned. What a atmosphere in the stadium and the shirts were so beautiful. From that day I only want one thing; a Celtic shirt. I was complaining a lot against my parents and finally I got a shirt for my birthday. It was the one with the Umbro signs in the green hoops. I was so proud of it that I walked the whole week in it. It became a little bit smelly, so my mother put it in the washing machine. I was so afraid that the shirt would been ruined, so I stayed the whole time with the washing machine. When it was dry I was very happy that it didn’t became very small. I still got the shirt, but it is a medium, so when I wear it I look like a Italian footballer, but not so sexy.
After I got the shirt I followed Celtic with even more passion. Every sunday I watch Celtic for the Celtic result. In 1997 I was lucky again, because a Dutch coach (Wim Jansen) went to Celtic. So the media of Holland gave Celtic more attention. That season was very exciting, because it was very important that the Huns didn’t got the 10 in a row. I was very happy that Celtic won the championship. It was the first since I started to follow them. The year after that Jansen disappeared and Advocaat went to the Rangers. In the media it was all Rangers. Advocaat bought a lot of worthless Dutch players and a lot of people in Holland started to support the Huns. I got 2 very bad years then, especially because a friend of mine was a Rangers supporter. That was a very bad period. But then attracted Celtic Martin O’Neill to the club. The start of good times. He and the lads brought me a lot of joy. Especially in 2000 when they beat the Rangers with 6-2. It was one of my best days in football. What a day that was. A year later I watch my first game of Celtic live. I went to the worst stadium in Holland to watch Ajax-Celtic. What a night that was. The Bhoys won 1-3 and the supporters sang and sang. That was the first time I heard “Fields of Athenry”, nowadays my favourite Celtic-song. Luckily a Dutch tv-channel bought the English Premier League matches and the Old Firm games. So now I was in the position to watch Celtic 4 times a year and the best parts of the CL-matches.
2 years ago I got my worst experience with Celtic. It was in Seville, the match Celtic-Porto. The whole week I was very happy because the match was live covered on television. I saw the impressive post-match thing. A lot of Celtic supporters in Seville. But the match is still the worst thing I ever saw. That Portuguese wankers ruined my whole evening. I even hoped that Vitor Baia died on the pitch. That f*cking cheater. My girlfriend thought I would throw the television out of the window after the match. I was really angry about that Porto. Last year I enjoyed the defeat of Barcelona, very good game. Hopefully Celtic will come very far in European competition (I think it will be UEFA-cup, sadly enough). I’m also planning to go to Paradise for the first time in my live. I’m saving money now for a trip. I hope it will be in the beginning of 2005. Then a dream will come out.

I support strongly and hardly my favourite team,A.S. ROMA!!!(we're so HEAT!!!)but my second team is CELTIC GLASGOW.I follow celtic since 3-4 years because I love celtic customs and uses(especially celtic music...),I love Scotland and Ireland and cause to the spirit of never surrending that is in the heart of Celtic team of Glasgow. Then,I saw in the Olimpic stadium during the match of my team, many supporters of Celtic Glasgow and this fact has filled my heart of proud!!Bye to all!!

I hope that supporters of Roma and Celtic Glasgow could link a friendship...because this sense of friendship I've already felt and saw here, during the match and in some radio-programmes of my town...

Cheers everyone,

I'm Johannes from Germany and I'm new on the list. At home I support Borussia Dortmund, however I am pretty keen on other leagues as well and speaking about Scotland there can be only one choise: Celtic!
I am glad I found this fine group.

Take care

Johannes
