I think Fireworks is very diffcult to use, PSP ok but I prefer Photoshop

i have photoshop ain't got a clue how to use it, i got a book as thick as a hun to read with it but i never bothered. i would'nt mind doing a basic course on graphics or web design just to get up to speed.

i went through some of the tutorials last night there very helpful, actully i was mucking around on them till about 4 this morning im only after rising and the baby needed to be collected half an hour ago. lol.

Don't worry hooperman, just keep getting in practice, thats what I did, download a few grunge brushes etc. look at some tut's they will get you somewhere

Open up the picture you want to put on the canvas, use the move tool (ctrl+v) and move it onto the canvas, but if the file you want to put onto it is a gif then you have to go to the top, go to select> select all, then that highlights your whole picture and just move it onto the canvas with the move tool
