Dunno man, it'll be interesting though. FM are usually accurate with these things, so presumably quite a lot. I can imagine many people's first campaigns on FM09 will be with Man City.

Was reading up on some other forum that man city will have 168million but thats probably pish as it was written by a city fan.

I would say 30-40 million would be what is set, bt can always change that via the editor, ps when is this out? it looks awesome esp with the match engine, so might well pull me from fifa manager this year.

hmmm, i'm guessing because they have not officially been fully taken over yet they will probally start with about 50-60m. They spent that much before they were even the richest club in the world.

And i'm guessing once you complete the first month for the club they get takenover but can't be to sure.

if teams like chelsea and barca can offer you over 100 million, city should easily have about 600 million.

FM won't do it though, cos then they're guaranteed to win everything, in real life though, a lot of players are laughing off claims they will sign for them.

There is a way to combat the 600m having any effect on BIG players though.

If a team had say 2billion in their transfer kitty, but a club reputation of say 7500... then the biggest you can sign from FM08 would be like Tymoshuck not like thats a bad thing but ye couldnt sign say Villa, Ronaldinho or anyone else you wanted... so in reality they could give Man City as much cash as they wanted as long as they got the reputation correct for the standard of players who would be intersted in a move to Man City, but then how do you set a standard when they paid 34.5m for Robinho.... lol.
