Conditions for work permit in FM 08
Can someone explain me when a player will get a work permit, and when not? There are some Chilean players I'm aiming at, one got it and will be able to play immediately, and the other one didn't.

Michael Silva is 19, a wee tiny forward, looks good, but he didn't get the permit... Sebastian Pardo did, I signed him on free, though, he was in Feyenoord(loan st SBV Excelsior). It says I could send Michael on loan, could it be a Scottish club?

im guessing that pardo may have spent 3 years in holland giving him an eu passport
michael however hasn't spent 3 years in the eu to get european nationality so you loan him out to say oostende (the affiliate) for 3 years then bingo
at least thats how i got around it with omar and edgar andrade

And I planned him to make up for the leave of Samaras(he didn't want to sign permanently, went to Lazio)...

Its a bastard but u can send players to Oostende (if ur Celtic) and they gain Belgian nationality as they dont have work permit rules. So its only worth taking younger players in that situation. And make sure they have long contracts, or they will py in Belgium for three years then leave you for free.
But its worth it if their good enough.

I think he signed till 2010. He has one cap, while Pardo(got the permit) has 4 caps.
