Ah see but you can also add on more leagues without them being playable. You should find this when you start a new game.

Lol, but aren't the Japanese players in the game fake ones? I downloaded an unofficial patch with the J league + the national team - I acknowledge the fact that the person who created worked hard but the ratings are often inaccurate...Kawaguchi, who is a short player with cat-like reflexes, has 9 for reflexes and 17 for aerial ability! And my NT squad is full of unknown players cos those who in reality are quality are often shite in the game

You can get rid of the fake files though. You just need to know where to look. :D

All you have to do is open to the following location;

Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Data/DB/800/Inc

Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Data/DB/802/Inc
(if you have patched your game)

You should then see a folder called 'All', drag this folder to your desktop or move it elsewhere for safe keeping (so long as it's not in the Football Manager 2008 folder) then start your new game.

I know about this, Japan isn't playable, so I added it as non-playable. I don't like Argentineans and Brazilians btw. In my experience of playing managers, I only had 2 or 3 maybe...

First season in and the first time i ever played FM

beginning of October
2nd in the league.

2 CL games played. 4-1 home win against shahktar and a 3-2 win away versus Ajax.

Well into my 5th season now. new signings for 2011/2012 season are:

Henock Goitom £15.25 m

Eggert Jonsson £1.4 m

Romero Mauricio £5.5 m

Hossam Ghaly Free

Kasper Schmeichel Free

Andrey Arshavin £12.5 m

Julio Baptista £7.5 m

Arturo Vidal £7 m

Played two league games so far against Gretna & Hibs winning both 3-0 & 2-0 Respectivley. 2nd in the SPl on Goal Diff behind Hearts 1 goal in front of me. Huns are 9th with 1 win & 1 loss.

Hoping to win the Cl again after last years fantastic trohpy ladden season with the SPL, Scottish Cup & the Champions League.

I dont like spending much money on players tbh.
I still havent won the cl but im still dominant in scotland. Im thinkin this might be the year, i beat some lithuanian side 6-0 at home and 6-0 away, beat spartak moscow 3-1 home and 1-0 away. I drew 2-2 at barca and beat them 1-0 at home.
Iv got Ajax in the last 16 and im confident, but i lost a few players in january.

The SPL was far too easy for me tbh, I just blew every team away 5-0.

Here are all my purchases into my first season in the EPL with the Hoops:

* Petri Pasanen from Werder Bremen, 4.5M. Solid CB/RB. Good signing, manages 8/10s at times

* Andrey Arshavin from Zenit St. Petersburg, 9.5M. Extremely skillful, pacy and clinical striker/Attacking midfielder. So far I've been less than impressed and Broony, Naka and the strikers are keeping him out of the first team.

* Joseph Yobo from Everton, 15M. A good defence is a top priority I realized. Pacy CB who wins everything in the air. He'd make a good striker were it not for his poor finishing.

Therefore, my starting line-up looks like this:

So far I'm 5th in the Premiership, but I could be placed much higher were it not for my over-ambitious tactics in the first half of the season which worked well at home against teams like Wigan but handed the likes of Chelsea easy 0-7 victories...I played with two strikers, three attacking midfielder, one holding midfielder and four defenders...Basically, it was like playing a 5-0-5

4th place is still viable though. If I don't get the sack (after telling the board that I would win the title at the beginning of the season), then I'll be seriously challenging the title next season.

(god am I addicted to this game...all I ever do is play FM, watch the Hoops play and go on TC lol)
