For. I don't care about his life in the past. It's history and now he's moved on. As long as he keeps supporting our club and runs it well then i'll support him

Inviting loyalist MP's to Celtic park.... yes it was him who gave him the MP a personal invitation and he now looks like a spare prick for it...
Minister unlikely to visit Celtic after sectarian chanting of fans - Times Online

And yes, allegations that he was reprimanded for...
right fair enough, agree to disagree.

Personally i feel we have every right to be fighting these scumbags, obviously innocent people die which is sad, innocent people died as a result from the IRA, yet a small number of our fans chant their name.

but i look forward to the day Terrorists get Nukes, and all the Anti war folk start shitting themselves.

suppose its a case of, One mans terrorist is another's freedom fighter.

and if it was allegations as such, then it doesn't mean he actually done it, its one persons word against an other.

thanks for that link zm, looking at rosario's post in it, he says something about he has no football experience, thats how i feel, if people are unhappy with him, it should be for this reason, not claims made by his wife/a ride he had.

So he invited a Loyalist MP to CP. Why was that? To show that we are the bigger club who dont have a problem with anyone form anyside of the religious divide. The MP now looks like a tit for knocking it back. Think JR comes out looking on top in that one.

The Sexual abuse. Read a few things, as far as I can see he pestered some females about wanting to pump them. He also admired a few arses and thought he would get laid by telling them. Big Deal. If you are a bloke you have pesered some chick for some action. You have also peered over some bird more than you really should have. Get a life my friend.

On the war, ho do you know that he wasnt against it behind closed doors. I have heard people saying that on a few different tv shows. Obvisouly I dont know if that is true. But if you have ever sung an Pro-IRA song then you cant really have a thing against him for the war in Iraq.

Well said.

For the OP. I posted for. I dont have an issue with Mr Reid. I also went to school with his son Mark. He was a good friend.

dont care either way with him. My issue with him is he was a career politician and happily moved to the right with the rest of Labour. Am not bothered about the foreign policy issues.

Again (so far) the poll shows the loud ranting against Reid is nowhere near the majority you would sometimes think. I love these polls.

Its a bit unrealistic to start a thread like this, and then to say "Lets not start a political debate", it smacks of Shit stirring to me.

But if you want non-political reasons why I'm personally against Reid, its because he has no business experience of any kind whatsoever, the man is a School teacher-turned-politician. Hardly the man that should be running one of the Worlds best known and best loved Sporting Institutions.

I'll happily listen to anyone though that can tell me what qualities he brings to Celtic Park, and how those qualities will guide Celtic through to the next level that we want to acheive.

He seems to have Celtic at heart and carrying out the club's best interests. As far as I'm concerned, in a chairman's capacity that is all that matters.

Not the biggest fan of his politics but that's a whole different thing all together.

shocking reasons mate.

the war in Iraq ? its a war against terrorism fs, if you're happy with terrorists being allowed do whatever the fuck they want and bombing innocent people, then fair enough.
There is NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER between Iraq and Al Qaeda. Do some research mate.

I personaly can not, will not support a man who activly participaed in & sanctioned an illegal war. which has resulted in civilian deaths on an unprecedented scale, as well as some of the most despicable human rights abuses the country has seen. Who as Home Secretary was ultimately responsible for some of the worst infringments on domestic Civil Liberties in over a hundred years. A man who has demonstrated a willingness to lie & decieve the citizens of the country he purported to serve. This man was a senior cabiet minister in a government that elevated cynical manipulation of the facts, duplicity & mendacity to the leval of art-form."Toeing the party line" is no defence, as was established in Neurenberg in 1946.

Err, so that's a NO!
