It's sad really, but unfortunately it's the crazy f*cked up world for some people...
I know it shouldn't be the case but he should've known better than to go out after the game, but i guess we don't know the reason for him being where he was. Do We?

Totally sick of these animals(lennon attacked)
Once again Neil lennon needs hospital treatment after being attacked by animals.
For years we watched Neil lennon suffer abuse at the hands of these animals, we watched how he had death threats when he played for his country, we watched how he was attacked in glasgow and his car damaged.
In every account the press blamed Neil.
Now he has been attacked again' I want action and I want it now.
This is nothing less than terroism against a person because he is a catholic.
New Labour has brought in enough laws to protect people from this kind of attack so why is the scottish parliment not doing someting' the police, the sfa and glasgow city council.
This is not a rangers celtic thing and I am sick of the media presenting it as rivalry.
If neil Lennon cannot go around glasgow for fear of being attacked because of his faith then the authorities need to act.
If Neil was a muslim or jew it would never have reached this stage.
Imagine if you were Neil lennon having to watch everyone who walked past you and be on your guard all the time and if anything happens the media automatically blame you.

this is nothing to do with football' neil is being attacked because of his faith and hatred of this faith.
the media with try and put it into a rangers celtic enviroment and put it out as rival fans going a bit over the top and downplay it.

Lennon Assaulted in Glasgow
Did anyone hear that Lennon was assaulted in Glasgow last nite... attached news report below. Feel sick to my stomach reading it, the scum can't even celebrate when they win. Its out of order and something has to be done about it, he never had to put up with that anywhere other than Glasgow and having lived there before I know how it can get you down. Any of you up for kickin Ferguson & Novo in retaliation.. (joke, wouldn't go to their level).
Former Celtic star attacked in Glasgow
Monday, 1 September 2008 11:43
Former Celtic captain Neil Lennon was treated in hospital early today after being assaulted in Glasgow.
Lennon, now a coach at the club, received treatment for minor injuries following an incident in Glasgow's west end hours after yesterday's Old Firm clash.
Police were called to Ashton Lane, well known for trendy pubs and restaurants, at around 12.25am.
The former Northern Ireland midfielder was taken to hospital and later released after treatment.
He has not filed a complaint with Strathclyde Police, who said inquiries into the incident were continuing.
A police spokeswoman said: 'Police were called at 12.25am to a report of a 37-year-old man assaulted in Ashton Lane. The injured man was taken to hospital then released after treatment for minor injuries.
'He did not wish to make a complaint; however, police inquiries are ongoing into the incident.'
The incident came hours after Lennon was in the Celtic dugout during his club's 4-2 home defeat to Rangers.
Lennon left Celtic in 2007 and joined Nottingham Forest. He later played for Wycombe before returning to Celtic as a first-team coach.
