watched real radio phone in tonight and ewan reckons most celtic fans would prefer to win the uefa cup than get to the last 8. was wondering what people thoughts are on this. Personally I think it is a much better achievement getting through the group stages and testing ourselves against the big guns.

why would you want to drop out of the group stages, instead of getting to the Quarter Finals of the UCL.

at least that way it would show we are going forwards and not backwards.

id love us to do what arsenal done and play a young side in the cis cup give guys like caddis hutchinson,mizuno etc a chance to prove themselves against spl sides and see if they are ready to step up

I want Celtic to win European trophies.Looking back in 20 years it would be better to say to your children that we won the UEFA Cup rather than being one of the last 16 teams in the CL.We've never won the UEFA Cup and we have reached the last 16 so I'd want to win the UEFA Cup.Anyway the UEFA CUp is not a diddy cup, there's still some very good teams in it and it would be a huge achievement for Celtic to win it.

never been to the last 8 though.

surely a better achievement than winning a cup that contains motherwell, portsmouth man city etc.

and contained qos, also, it would show we're going forward, going into the uefa cup would technically be going backwards.

Last 8 in the champions leauge with a possibility to go to the semi finals and being the top 4 club in europe.....

aye but you want us to finnish 3rd in the group stages and try win the cup... only theres no definate to win it, AC Milan are in it this year and so will other teams dropping down like probably zenit and i would prefer Last 8/semi final Party! rather than a "chance" to be in the uefa final!
