Hello Andy, the station is Valencia Nord, and you don't have to change the train. You take one called cercanias or rodalia(that's in our local language)and you get off the train here in Vila-real.

Getting to Aalborg?

It's a bit far off in November 25th but I'm not going to Manchester and I need something to look forward to.

Not the easiest place to get to in the world, especially from Malta.

I've found two options so far for me,

Lufthansa from Malta to Munich to Copenhagen 455 quid, then 5 hour train to Aalborg

Lufthansa from Malta to Munich to Copenhagen to Aalborg 555 quid - not saving much time overall but hopefully saving money, and lessening that carbon footprint

I've been trying to get a flight direct to Munich from Malta, then train it up there but it seems Ryanair have no flight options available for that period.

So any other lads travelling there who can give advice on any cheaper options, and also advice on where's good to stay in Aalborg?

P.S. I'll shall shamelessly bump this thread as we get closer to the time

I hope you didnt book them flights above, with Sterling Airlines? As today, Serling became the next airline to go tits-up .

Information to Sterling Passengers
Customers who have directly purchased their tickets on Sterling’s website will unfortunately not be refunded neither will their return flights.

You therefore have to book your return flights with another airline company.

If you have paid for a flight by credit card, we advise you to contact your bank or credit card company to ask for a possible refund.

Customers who have booked their flights through a travel agency or tour operator should initially contact them.

Passengers who have booked their tickets through Sterling, but is flying with Norwegian, should contact Norwegian directly on one of the below phone numbers:
+47 21490015 (from outside Norway)
815 21 815 (from Norway)

We understand that most travel insurance does not protect holders from airline insolvency but should you have taken insurance please contact your insurance company for clarification.

We will later put on a FAQ and hope that this will help you in this very unfortunate situation.
