Scotland extends transfer window

Shaun Maloney and Pedro Mendes have recently moved to Scotland

The Scottish Football Association has extended the summer transfer window by 24 hours to Monday 1 September.
"A significant number of associations have decided to move the closure of their window," read an SFA statement.
"It would seem to make sense to assist our clubs and ensure that they are not disadvantaged in any way when trying to sign players prior to the deadline."
Associations in England, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands have also moved their windows back to 1 September.
Some associations will still be closing their window at midnight on Sunday 31 August and the SFA has moved to ensure this does not cause Scottish clubs any problems.
"The SFA will make arrangements to have registration department cover on 31 August as well as 1 September to deal with all enquiries," added the statement.
After the 1 September deadline has passed, the transfer window will re-open on Thursday 1 January.

EPL already decided this a few weeks ago, so it was always going to happen in my eyes, tbh.

I hope not, but i think so..

I doubt we'll sign another player before Jan.

There's alot of speculation around Crespo as he's now struggling to find a club after Lazio told him to get tae falkirk as they were not prepared to pay 'x%' of his wages that Inter wanted them too, plus they did not want to pay a fee for the loan. I know it's a long shot..

Dont think it may make much of a difference, it would if we were in negotiations with a few players at the minute, the 24 hours could make abit of a difference on this instance but to be fair, i dont see us making any immediate signings even though strachan did mention that we would be bringing 1 more player in. Dont get too excited i heard momo syllas on the look out for another club lmaooo

Hmmm hopefully PL's chasing some quality LB behind closed doors.

I dont think money is an issue for us (obviously its a restraint as we cant go spendin megabucks) but if the board have got their eye on a particular quality player i reckon theyll throw a few million at them if hes value for money. I think wer just lookin for the right player for the right price.
