Apparently big Mick played as a left back during reserves and younger years but I do agree we need a left back but being greedy Id take Maloney also.

You'd be as well with a wheelie bin at left back than McManus. And the issue with Doumbe, Caddis and Wilson there is that not one of them is left footed. They'll get turned inside out playing against a decent team.

I have always wondered about WGS defensive plans. During his first season we struggled to fill left and right back slots, remember Mo Camara....
Anyway my point is he seems to place more emphasis on the mid-field than anywhere else. I have never put together a team and I am certainly no expert but it is like he ignores the defense happily allowing people to play out of position etc.
As for bringing back Shaun I think he is a great player and one I would gladly see back. His transfer (in my opinion) was caused by the board not playing the game with his wages. The guy must have got fed up of being on relatively rubbish wages when his fellow team mates were negotiating big money deals. The guy always ran his heart out for the club.
The board sometimes have funny ideas about who gets what with wages, just look at Bobo. He was paying more in tax each week than was offered to Jackie Mac! So when things like that happen it is hardly surprising that younger less mature players who switch agents jump ship.

well tbh you could be right but wilson had his best games at cp as a lb and caddis has played there and done really well i am not saying we shouldn't sign one i am just saying that i dont think we are that desperate for one which is good cos teams can't hold us over a barrel knowing we are desperate. would still like to see a quality lb come but if there is no-one there then we can use those guys and keep the money till a quality one becomes availible

I reckon Caddis is better in midfield, I'd love to see WGS bringing him on in the 60th/70th min for Naka so he can run at tired defenders.
