We dont need him? No of course not. Why would we need a player who is creative and can chip in with some cracking goals.

Nah what would we need a plyer who can improve our squad. Especially with Naka going at the end of the season. Im sure we will pick up someone better for the same price who can slot right in there.

agree 100%. he deserves a second chance. who doesnt want to test themselves in the best league in the world? for fuck sake give the guy a break. i think from goin down there and not doing so well he could possible come back and be even better than he was for the experience.

I have always been a fan of Maloney's, it is a bit unfortunate that he has in some people's eyes, not been as good a player at Aston Villa as he was at Celtic.

Admittedly I was really disappointed to see him go!!

But saying this I would be happy to see him play at Celtic again, when he did play I always felt you could see him play with his heart while playing for Celtic and always gave it his all for the club!!

Fair enough that he did go to test himself and also receive a higher wage, but if he was to knuckle down if he came back to Celtic, I feel he could be that creative player that we need to help open up a defence, and not necessarily always to rely on Naka and McGeady for sole creativity.

Maloney has talent there's no doubt about it. He was brilliant in his POTY season and is the perfect compliment to the team. Him and Aiden would be great long term options. He may not be as creative as Naka but he makes up for that with more strength and direct running. In saying that I'd want him to play in the hole. I really like him as a second striker and we've got quite good cover on the wings with McCourt, Koki and Caddis. They too are good potential long term options. If he's available between 1-2 mil we should swallow the pride and make a good football and financial decision. Piss all cash for a cracking wee play-maker who is fairly versatile and don't forget he has great freekick which we'll all miss when the maestro goes. Think he's a great alternative to McDonald when we play in europe in a more packed midfield way, an play that bit deeper and can set up goals s well as score.

Lets get it done. Smart move. Anyone that has an issue with him, no offence (and i could dish it out) but your not thinking straight. He left when he was not in the first eleven and he did so in a way that gave us 1mil rather than signing a pre-contract. He didn't turn his back on us, don't be so dramatic. He was offered an opportunity to test himself in the best league in the world when he wasn't playing here and thought, 'yea, fuck it. could be good.' wtf is wrong with that? At least it shows a degree of ambition. And don't give me any, Villa are shite, what ambition pish. When he joined Villa were buoyed by MON and big Randy's cheque book, so looked like a worthy punt. So lets leave criticism to his on the pitch performances, should the wee man return.
