I agree, Club legends stand out on their own for what they did.

Why not? If he scores in the region of thirty goals for us for another five or six seasons, he'll be a Celtic icon. Nothing beats a Celtic fan actually playing for Celtic, either, and doing the business.

good post, comparison of players is not a ideal way to look at players ,there all different in some ways , there will be other class players to come to grace parkhead and they will become legends aswell ,its a never ending story

i'd put more hope in the real larsson coming back at 36-37 than I do of anyone similar ever showing up out of nowhere (ok dutch league isn't nowhere but he wasn't phenomenal there) for a coupla hundred thousand quid and dazzling everybody in our hoops like he did.
I put very little hope in either.

Skippy may be able to emulate larsson in the context of goals scored but its up to the faithful to decide wether he's a legend like larsson, but who knows what will happen in the next five years, its been done before and will again.

In fairness, when Jinky was in his prime everyone would have said Celtic would never see a player anywhere near as good, yet now there are many who would argue that Larsson was as good as/better.
