I love to see it in his game! Hes a very passionate guy when hes on the park and also a wind up merchant! But hes very talented and he could be the main man for us this season!

Its a nice thought, but surely Brown is at his best going forward, and not sitting deep in midfield? He's got enough speed and skill to take people on with the ball at his feet. Just needs to start doing it more often. His performance level will need to increase if he wants to win back his place in the team.

I think Brown will be more focussed this season. Cant criticise anyone for being distracted, off form when a family member is battling cancer, being a good professional cant help you there. I'm quietly confident that Brown will have his best season as a player this year.
‘Rough’ Hoops come in for flak (Glasgow Evening Times - Sport)
by Ronnie Cully
CELTIC have been stunned by accusations from Porto that they were guilty of rough- house tactics in Saturday's fiery match.
Scott Brown came in for special flak.
He became embroiled in an increasingly ill-tempered running feud with first Guarin - an early challenge left the Celtic player lying on the ground after a kick on the ribs - then second- half sub Jorge Fucile.
And a few minutes from time, referee Luciano Silva even gestured to the Celtic bench that it would be better if he was subbed.
He was eventually removed from the fray with five minutes left and was hugged at the touchline by assistant boss Garry Pendrey before Neil Lennon also put an arm round the youngster in a show of solidarity and support.
But the player's troubles did not end there because, when Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink headed home the only goal of the game, Brown leapt up with the rest of the people on the bench and punched the air with both hands.
An official of Porto, Cacio Pedro, who was standing beside the visitors' technical area, stepped forward to demand Pendrey keep the player in order.
The pair went nose-to-nose for several seconds before Pedro spoke to others on the bench.
The Porto official later confirmed: "Our fans behave themselves, so we expect players to behave as well."
It was an acrimonious end to a game that suffered from weak refereeing.
But Porto boss Jesualdo Ferreira did his best to smooth over the troubled waters, and was fulsome in his praise for the club he has admired since attending the 1967 European Cup Final in Lisbon.
He said of Brown's troubled night: "It was a friendly match, but there are always players who very much like hard games."
THE row over Scott Brown's run-in with Porto's boo-boys took a revolting twist last night when it emerged that a yob fan spat in the Celtic star's face. The Hoops midfielder has been condemned by officials of the Portuguese club for taunting local fans after Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink's late winner in Saturday's so-called friendly. But, in fact, Record Sport can reveal that Brown was the victim of a disgusting attack just moments after being substituted by boss Gordon Strachan as the game - a testimonial for veteran keeper Vitor Baia - turned nasty. Brown and Celtic assistant boss Garry Pendrey were also pelted with missiles in the technical area in the moments leading up to the late winner and Strachan is believed to be furious with the treatment his team received. A close source said last night: "Scott was sickened by what was going on. To have someone spit in your face is the lowest of the low and he did well not to react more aggressively. The conduct of some Porto fans was outrageous." Brown became public enemy No.1 with the home fans after being fouled by Porto hatchet man Jorge Fucile - a challenge which sparked a running feud between the pair in the closing 20 minutes. Eventually referee Luciano Silva requested that the Celtic man be taken off by Strachan in the final minutes of the match - shortly before Vennegoor of Hesselink's 87th-minute winner.
hope we get them in CL and tear them a new asshole
