No doubt they would already have some brilliant Eastern European players in mind who would be dying to play for him. That rapid Spartak winger, a pair of solid centre halves. A new captain.
Hope Lawell's reading this and taking notes!

Bilic has signed a new contract with the Croatian FA and Lennon is already a coach here, you're the one that should be taking notes mate

Damn, there I thought you could still sign someone who is under contract.

main thing is to get bobo and tommy G off the wage bill...there on 70-80 grand a week between em (Tommy G on loan tho but is comin bak)....dont want these termites eating away at our finances for any longer! Taiwo or another decent left back, possibly a centre back , darren fletcher in the middle with maybe bellamy or stevie fletcher bought to play up front....im looking forward to seeing mizuno play next season

According to the Marseilles fans I've talked to, Taiwo really lacks intelligence on the pitch and plays like a retard...Would you still snap him up, just for his ability?

Unfortunately left backs are hard to come by - not sure of too many myself. Shorey perhaps of Reading but I'd imagine he'd be after Premiership football.
Ljunjberg would give us options and experience on the wings (plus around a year of decent pace) although I'd imagine his wages would prove a real stumbling block.
That pacey guy from Shaktar of course would be incredible. But with the money in that league/team he could cost a bomb.
Also anyone from Readings starting 11 would be quite an acquisition for the squad - particularly Kitson, Doyle and Lita.
Would like to think Strachan can unearth another gem from a foreign land though like Boruc/Naka. Heres hoping.

I'd say Shorey is unlikely as he has been in and around the England squad the last year or so and will want to play in Premiership for international reasons.
Murphy from Birmingham I like but they paid nearly £2mil for him for so would be asking at least that for him. Is he worth that much? I'm not sure.
Left back is a problem though and should surely be number 1 priority. Kalvenes from Dundee Utd is certainly a good player at SPL standard but not sure for Champions League.
Up front I like Forssell but I think if we went after him we might be priced out by Premiership teams but depends if he wants a shot at Europe.
Personally with the number of options we have in centre midfield I'd wait til January or even next summer to see if Donati, Sno and Brown progress before buying anyone.
A back up wide midfield player is important - apart from Riordan(unlikely to play for us again) and Mizuno(totally unproven) we have nobody to cover Naka and McGeady. How about Diouf. A bit controversial perhaps but if we could afford him I think he would be an excellent signing. Total knob but brilliant player.
Also Zemmama from Hibs as an impact sub when we need a goal perhaps. Extremely tricky little player. Personally I can't see the fuss about Fletcher I much prefer Sheils.

McFadden
David Murphy (With Birmingham relegated we could pinch him/them)
Darren Fletcher (Canny really see it happenin' but it would be nice)
Stevie Fletcher
Notice how all these are jocks and none of them are exactly old.
Oh, I'd keep Samaras too and bring in at 1 or 2 centre halfs.

If we spend 3 million on Samaras don't expect too many more signings.
