i tell you one thing, this man knows his stuff. i have noticed a complete change in caldwells game and i think WGS can take credit. a few months back, with the ball at feet, caldwell used to try and play it on the floor to our centre mids with their backs to goal. know, as soon as he gets the ball, he either looks to play it to the full back, like any good centreback does, or, he takes a touch and pings lofted balls to the attackers, or the wingers, EVERYTIME now. he is a brilliant long passer of the ball, one of the best ball playing centre backs around. watch for this in the next game, he always lofts balls to palyers perfectly.

just like he hit the corner flag when he lofted the ball to scott mcdonalds head perfectly in the old firm game in the last minute when JVOH scored? everytime he gets the ball, head up, nad a beautifully pinged lofted pass to an attacker or winger. actually watch the games mate , no point slamming him if it aint true pal.

do you not think he could grow into celtic class?
i dont agree with this celtic class pish. players can fluctuate in and out of the celtic class bracket. the way hes played the past 2 months proves he can be celtic class. and whos to say he wont continue and improve?

Fair enough, but I think Caldwell is Shite with a capital S and one good month wont change my mind.
McGeady is a youngster as well, as is Caddis, guys who've been given a chance. How can O'Dea prove himself sitting on the bench? Caldwell has had a good month but has had a lot of bad months as well.
Every time O'Dea has been given a chance in the middle he's been outstanding, including in the san siro when he was man of the match.

Caldwell has been excellent of late and after the pelters he's had it has taken real character to turn his game around. Well down Caldwell.
However he still has a long way to go before he has played more good games than bad games.

Maybe but its not like he's 18, and he's been given a long extended run in the team already, 2 seasons basically.
As long as he pulls on the jersey he'll get my backing like evry1 else, but nope, not for me. He gives me palpatations every time hes got the ball at his feet. I really dont see this great range of passing at all, he has a habit of launching the ball aimlessly into the channel and then pointing at McDonald as if he was supposed to grow extra long legs and get there.

Its simple, I expect defenders better than him to play for celtic, its just a quicker way of saying it.

fed up of hearing about celtic class mate. no offence, its just that anytime someone mentions "celtic class" it always starts another debate about what is "celtic class"............

A level above a joe normal bread n butter defender, good enough to play for average SPL sides, which i dont think he is, why does the phrase Celtic-class cause so much offence to people?

Do you remember in all the league matches (about 14 of them) before that game? No one mistake from him or Mick but one howler of a game and he's condemned for the rest of his career?
Well done Gary, keep it up!
