McGeady's Booking

Is it really paranoia or do the ref's have it in for him? How can anyone say that McGeady's foul deserved a booking? Then a minute later an Aberdeen player gets the same punishment for cynically bringing Samaras down when he was through on goal .... its madness!!!

Yes, I've said that a few times yesterday, pathetic.

It's also unbelievable how many times Aiden gets booked despite hardly being a dirty player. Sure some of the bookings are warranted, but that one yesterday was a total joke.

Thats why we're paranoid.

He has been guilty in the past of petulance, that wasn't one of those times though in my opinion. I think he could be doing with smiling a wee bit now and then, he comes across as a dour faced wee shite!

He has also opend his mouth to the press criticising oficials. This has made him a marked man. He needs to keep his mouth shut as he is his own worst enemy at times.

There is not one referee in Scotland capable of referring a game properly; we have the worst referees in world football, no doubt about it.

The SFA should possibly look at bringing in international referees to the game here at simply the Scottish referees are not up to the job, although we know this won’t happen because the SFA will always stand by their referees, even if they shot a player dead on the pitch.

The SFA is a joke, Scottish referees are a joke, and SPL is a joke.

Can't disagree with that. What i will say though is there are perfectly capable referees in this country in my opinion, there is however an undercurrent of blatent 'cheating' still alive and well. There are times when a referee knows EXACTLY the decision to make yet they'll look at the player/team/situation whatever and make the decision based on that, which is a discrace.

Your spot on there Hammer, i could not believe the decision to knock us back for a blatant stone-wall penalty simply because we we're 4-0 up. It just makes me so fuckin angry sometimes, even now and again when decisions go in our favour (always minor ones mind you) i sit and get tore into the ref it just annoys me that much. What kind of money are these cunts on? I bet they're earning not too bad a wage at the top level and some of the decisions being made are just baffling.

It's not just referees it's the whole fucking set-up of Scottish football, it's an absolute embarrassment. What happens if the title goes down to goal difference again this year and we lose out by one goal, again? Yesterday will be the first thing that comes into my mind, the incredibly inept and un-professional refereeing will have cost us the title.

Shocking

There were 2 or 3 of those types of decisions yesterday that some people may laugh at as we're already home and dry in the match and you can begin to feel sorry for the losing side but this isn't some kick about down the local park, it's a multi million pound business that could possibly hinge on a single goal to determine who wins the league.

The Hesslink penalty incident was as blatent a penalty as you'll see and even Craig Burley made mention of the fact of the referees positioning 5 yards away, there was nothing more to that decision than a sympathy vote

The officiating is a joke. Just look at the Fergihun goal last week, the ref was in a perfect position yet gave the goal.

fact is he HAS to calm down he's no angel and if your never going to be an angel expect tough decisions.
the ref's are not bias towards any team.
some ref's DO support one team or an other but to collectivly say they all suport the huns or all against us is nothing short of stupid, reall.
