Ronaldinho and Messi are forwards, Naka and McGeady are both wingers. There's no chance you can play our 2 as far up the pitch against them, if we played the trifecta, as it's widely known, we'd get overran in midfield.

The only diference is Barca are quicker more skillful and mobile but this is how they line up. They play much further up the park as they keep possesion 70-80% of the time.

You are right our play makres will not be able to play so far up the pitch as Barca will control the game. But they are clever enough to find space an keep posession when we get the ball.

I've watched Barcelona numerous times the past 2 years and i can't recall them EVER using that formation or those personnel with in it.

Yaya Toure has played every game he has been available as has Henry who has been on the left. Thuram has also played a lot more often than not.

Yaya toure this season yes you are right and Thuram has played often. But this is how they SET UP. Granted at times the two wide men play much further up the park and do cut inside more centraly to make three Strikers. However they are first and foremost wide players. Also their midield three sometimes play.

..........................Xavi.................... ......Toure

....................................Iniesta....... ................

But they also switch to.

My point being is, they are adaptable.

Also Hammer M8 if you have been watching Barca recently you will notice that Messi and the goofy one have not been playing As Messi has been injured for 6 weeks or so and Ronaldiniho has been dropped for poor form.

I don't think this formation would limit our attacking options.
