Saw a boy in the late 80's who had everything, name was Stevie Murray, I think. Got injured and never made it back. I think it was Colin O'Neill at Motherwell who done him.

2-0 down at half time sitting in the main stand above the enclosure at Ibrox depressed as fuck and getting serious abuse, second half enter Cafe Cine 2-4 and ta ta Charlie. Legend. The daft bugger went for the city lights, cocaine, the wrong team and a swimmer. Never a flop though.
As for duffers - all mentioned bar Zurawski, I think he was mentally ill.

think iv told this story a few times on here so apologies to anyone who has read it before.
was working at glasgow green easter 2006, coaching group of kids with celtic in the community.
the final day, the friday, the kids were given a trip to parkhead, got the tour, pic with european cup and to train at barrowfield. so by sheer luck as we were heading to barrowfield the 1st team were jus finishing up so a lot of the kids were delighted at getting to meet some of the players. Mcgeady was their in his fancy sports car and was more than happy to let the kids look inside, pose for photo's etc.
we got to barrowfield and i was walking along with couple of the boys, at this point Maloney and wallace appeared, so the boys asked for their autographs. maloney was brand new and even signed the wee guys boots. wallace simply said, "its not in my contract to sign autograph's" and jus walked away from the kids.

Pretty unpleasant stuff. One thought though. Thats sounds a bit like he was having some sort of contract dispute or huff about money and was 'working to rule'. Still pretty sad of him though.

A mate of mine called Mark Ferry is a great player. Was in the youths and got released at 17, but Billy Stark left Celtic at the same time and went to manage St.Johnstone and took him there and then signed him for Queens Park when he went there and he`s still there now. Great young team they have with a young pool of players. His dad Shanty Ferry had a game for Celtic in the early 80`s but got thrown out for bad behaviour, he`s in a celtic book saying about how he had thrown away his big chance and coulda made the grade. Mark is a smashin player as well and still only 23 so there is time yet for him to step up again.

I thnik we should have kept onto that guy from Iceland Teddy Bjarnsson, there was good things said about him...
Unfortunately IMO it's the Huns who have the next big thing in John Fleck, I used to know him and let me tell you, he will make it big. Adidas signed him when he was 15 for future advertisements, he's 16 now, and they say if he ever get's sold he will be Scotland's highest ever transfer...

at the time he was a nobody, i was suprised the kids even knew him he had only played about 5 games so doubt he was having a contract dispute.
also heard a story from one of my dad's mates that he turned up at training in a ferrari acting all billy big time and o'neill went thru him and told him never to bring that car to training again.
think he was just a prick in general

couldnt agree more about bjarnasson , he was a traditional pacy winger, we should have given the lad a fair chance, he looked the part against hibs last season
