Leckie`s wife walked out on him recently and it`s easy to see why. He`s clearly been gettin the boaby from 'Walter'.

That whole thing reads like a drunken love letter. Wonder if he sealed it with a kiss?

I would reckon wattie thinks this article is embarrising crap himself. He suffers no fools. When Chic Young was doing his cheeky chappy thing the other day, wattie blanked it and seemed like he was going to tear his head of and shite down his neck. Wattie is one of them but he is a decent guy and a really clever coach. Leckie seems a sad case.

Do you honestly reckon ANY journalist would have the balls to write an article like that in a national newspaper. It's a fabrication of a thread done for a reaction and you've all fell for it.

For the record, Leckie is a complete wank and 1 i've had many arguments with via e-mail. Even when he was on holiday he took time out to write back! I can tell you his literacy skills equate to that of a 3 year old pre school kid, something i made sure he was aware of.

Is this article genuine? I have my doubts. I don't believe that Wattie is fluent in French, German and whatever other language is quoted.

The line 'SPL title is almost in the bag' seems a bit suspicious, even for a hun journalist.

It's strange to contemplate the fact that Walter Smith has just turned sixty years of age. Yes, the hair is greyer and there are few wrinkles where until quite recently there were none.

However, the impression that one gets, (or this writer to be more accurate), is of a man at the height of his powers. Smith cuts very much the figure of the elder statesman of Scottish football, though it would be a title that he would be quick to deny. Modesty, dignity, integrity, these are just but three adjectives that come to mind when describing the avuncular figure who single handedly transformed the fortunes of the Scotland national team, before heeding the call from Sir David Murray.

Alan Hutton gives proud testimony to Smith's remarkable coaching powers, from being a rash and clumsy defender, Hutton under Walter's tutelage has developed into a genuine talent, arousing interest from both English and top continental clubs. The same too can be said of Lee McCulloch who has already begun to show a refinement of touch so difficult to achieve in men of his size and physique. Finally there is Charlie Adam, who is rapidly becoming a perfect foil to captain courageous Barry Ferguson. Whereas Fergie offers graft, commitment and endeavour, Adam offers guile, native cunning and flair.

Smith does not have visions but he most certainly has a vision, today Scotland, tomorrow Europe. With the SPL almost in the bag, Smith will quietly go about his business in his business like, tranquil manner. He will leave the 'funny' glib one-liners to others, he is after all a cut above the ordinary. We should be thankful for having him in our midst

i smell hun bullshit

It was intriguing to watch the likes of Arsene Wenger, Frank Rijkaard and Jose Mourinho defer politely to the guru from the Clyde. As Wenger himself said, "When Walter talks, we tend to shut up and listen!". It was a frank and honest recognition of the esteem and awe in which plain speaking Walter Smith is held by the aristocrats of European football. Smith who is fluent in French, German and Spanish has the added advantage of being able to communicate fluently to all who come to hear the prophet's words.
Ha Ha - almost every word in this indicates that it is a load of pish but this is the best part of all.

You could just imagine Arsene Wenger asking Smith to talk him through his tactic of 4-5-1 when you are attacking and 10-0-0 when defending!!!
