Could be because how bad the Rangers fans were against them the other year.
And we have a Belgian club called KV Oostende who we have started a partnership with. Basically our younger players go out on loan there and we get their good players in a couple of years.

i think the friendship came in the 2nd leg match when we played them in spain, 1 of ma pals went to villareal, and apparently the villareal fans were all being friendly to the cellic fans, they played some matches(the fans) together and swapped tops and stuff,
my pal came home with a picture of himself and alot of villa fans,a villareal top(he swapped with villa fan) and a villareal flag,

could be... i think there might be more to it than that though? maybe not , maybe thats how it started and it got pushed further by the two clubs.
cany mind what game it was at CP but there was a charity thing going on and there was folks from villa real over...

Did Celtic supporters not raise money for the sick child of a Villareal supporter which paid for some treatment or therapy or something ? And the Villareal supporters were impressed and thus formed the friendship?

They always used to wear a green and white strip (not hoops though) and when they got promoted to the Football League in 2003 they adopted the Hoops in the hope it would bring them the same success as we have had.
They are currently working their way through the divisions and hopefully we will see the Hoops in the Premier League eventually.
They wear Hoops and drink cider - what a combination - c'mon The Glovers!!!
