'It's Always Half Cold And Overpriced'

Updated: 07:24, Friday September 28, 2007
Manchester United may have the best football stadium in Europe - but they've been given a red card for their matchday food.

'Grub on matchdays terrible'

A survey of fans voted Arsenal top when it comes to nosh.
And the Gunners' new Emirates stadium came second in the best grounds league.
Liverpool "kopped" the award for best atmosphere, followed by Celtic and Portsmouth.
Barcelona came second in the culinary stakes, with Delia Smith's Norwich third.

After Man United, fans reckoned the foulest grub is dished out in Scotland by Rangers and Celtic.
One Manchester United fan said: "The grub on matchdays is terrible. It's always half cold and is overpriced as well."
But an Old Trafford spokesman replied: "We serve up the right ingredients on and off the pitch."
Entrance to Old Trafford

Tottenham's White Hart Lane stadium has the worst public transport access, according to the survey of 1,100 season ticket holders.
BEST FOOD: 1. Arsenal; 2. Barcelona; 3. Norwich; 4.Kilmarnock; 5. Wigan Athletic.
WORST FOOD: 1. Manchester United; 2. Rangers; 3. Celtic; 4. Tottenham; 5. Chelsea
BEST STADIUM: 1. Manchester United; 2. Arsenal: 3. Barcelona: 4. Newcastle; 5. Manchester City
BEST ATMOSPHERE: 1. Liverpool; 2. Celtic; 3. Portsmouth; 4. Barcelona; 5. Newcastle.

the worst food by a mile is at hampden. oh my god someones gonna die from food poisoning there.

these fucks think they can get away with it because they probably believe the majority of fans will have had a drink and wont complain.
recently had a cheeseburger at hampden and if it was 3 weeks old i'd believe it. shocking. and then to add insult to injury they charge 2 nicker fifty for the pleasure.

is there any way to hold an inquiry into the state of food at these grounds. before 50,000 people go down wi some strain of food poisoning.

fair enough if the food is substandard...... but dont charge top rate prices for food i woodnt give to the dog..... i even had to return a cup of tea once as it smelled of bleach.... shocking.

I read a similar review thing in the Observer a month or so ago, except it was Away fans rating other stadiums, and Anfield got a fairly low rating for atmosphere with most fans saying it was very overrated.

1st Liverpool
2nd Celtic

I doubt this very much liverpools atmospheres at anfield are well known(and fantastic) though because they play at the big stage in big games much more often than we do we have better fans and thats the truth. Even look abroad for example they might have painted athens red a couple a years ago but seville was much more ours than athens was liverpools and we didnt even win there and it was the uefa cup
