Nothing to have to forgive, just doing his job.

Never held anything against him. If you want someone to blame for Celtic losin the league that year, it`s Celtic. McDonald scored two goals against us that game, but we had a whole load of games before that to win the league with.

Apart from scoring against us and celebrating like a madman (fair enough it's his job), the lie he had always been a celtic supporter really bothers me. why can't he just shut the fuck up instead of acting like he's celtics biggest fan.

some quotes from january 2007:
"Scott McDonald had been keen on a move to Ibrox"

"McDonald has revealed his anguish at missing out on a deadline-day move to Ibrox after Motherwell turned down a firm offer for the Australian."

"Motherwell striker Scott McDonald is devastated to have missed out on a transfer deadline day move to Rangers."

"When my agent called to tell me what was happening, I was on top of the world," McDonald told the Daily Record."

"It's so hard for me to take. But it's up to Motherwell to call the shots. Hopefully, I can get over this."

Fair enough he wanted to join the huns, but why does he have to lie then? celtic supporter all his life? I prefer honest people; people who admit to have followed the dark side when they were younger.

I hate liars and people changing their mind every day.

yeh he was doing his job and he was playing against his boyhood heroes so he wud hav wanted to impress at the end of the day it was the teams fault not scott mcdonald because if the defense were doin wat they were fukin paid for scott might not hav scored all we needed was a fukin draw and we wud hav won the league does it in a way it pisses people off because rangers have another title more than us to boast about but thats not what counts right now because we are the best team in scotland and rangers aint

Forgave him long ago, he was just an scapegoat for our failngs. Our loss against Hibs the weeks before was even more of a failure. I've been chuffed with him since the day he signed and he's proving to be a massive hit.
He at the end of the day did his job, which alot of people in the green and white hoops that day failed to do and let us all down, not McDonald.
To the man who highlighted the Rangers thing, it was just because he thought it might have been his only offer out of a small club to a big club like Rangers and away from Malpas and Motherwell, simple as.
He can kiss the badge all he wants, he's a celtic fan trough and through to me and should always be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Canny believe some people voted no. He set up Hartley's goal in Moscow, scored the one at CP, scored all three against UTD last week and the winner against the european champs. What more do people want?!

You've highlighted a sentence from a tabloid journalists pen not Scott McDonald

I know for a fact he is a Celtic fan, there's no ambiguity involved here, he's idolised us all his life the pictures of him as a boy getting his picture taken in a Celtic top are real and that's that.

so what? It's his word against hers. my brother's mate's working friend told me some other (negative) rumours as well.

BBC is a reasonable source and only because some users say "oh no, I know for a fact", that ain't enough to change my attitude.

(just check out the rumours threads where everybody knew for a fact that we would get players x,y,z.... unfortunately we got neither of em.)

You seem to be skimming over the crux of what i'm trying to say here so i'll highlight it...

He is a Celtic fan and always has been.

If you want me to scan in the photo's that were in the Sunday Mail article last month i'll do so when i get home as i still have it somewhere. All of which showing him as a 12 year old bhoy at Parkhead getting his photo taken with his idols wearing a Celtic strip.
