does anyone else think that with the midfielder's at our disposal the team should be employing a 3-5-2 formation to better utilise the depth of our midfield squad,
fuck we could even have an attacking formation, that might just surprise a few people next season.
it's the 4-4-2 thats giving us the unbalance play at times against the better teams we face, and more versatile to change your style.
adaptability is a must in modern day football.GS knows this but is he to stubborn to try it for a period

Think we shouldn't play with a central midfield at all.
We should play Lennon or Hartley as a defensive midfield, McGeady on the left, Nakamura should play in his natural position as an offensive midfielder and Thommy G or Harley could play on the right

Want GS to try out Tommy G and Hartley in the centre of the park. If not that, then Tommy G and Jiri. No wonder Gravesen's getting pissed off at not starting when he see's who starts in front of him and how they play. Least he still recognises the fans are on his side though.

No matter what and Lennon is still in the picture and here I will admit its not only Lennons fault but one word that comes to mind for me in regards to the middle mainly central middle is the word, STAGNANT.
Midfield should be a tenacious driving force relentless in control and attack, of course the opposition have a saying in this, however to adopt a so called holding cleanup mentality, is NEGATIVE from the start, to hell with that, what we have in Lennon in particular is a HOLDUP midfielder!
