she cheated in the Irish one, lied about her age, she'd made it to the last 10 and they found out she was 16 & turfed her out, i felt sorry for her at the time but things have turned out for the better for her, if you were sitting next to her in CP you'd miss the whole game.

Celtic Supporters
Bono’s a Celtic man, so is Jim Kerr,
As is Steve Collins, the retired boxer,
Along with Alan Brazil, the TALKSPORT presenter,
And “Jamesy” in Rab.C Nesbit, Tony Roper.
Peter Mullan is a lifelong Celtic fan,
With Fran Healy & Frank Carson, the Irish comedian,
Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie
Loves to cheer on the Celts with Mogwai.
While Rod Stewart & Del Amitri share the same enthusiasm,
It’s the these lovely ladies who follow the ‘Tic,
Like Sharleen Spiteri, Clare Grogan & Shirley Manson
& the former Eastenders star, Martine McCutcheon.
While Shane McGowan can drink you under the table,
Billy Connolly can make you laugh & giggle,
Celtic fans are also politicians,
Like John Reid & Bertie Ahearn, the Irish P.M.
Where it is said that Mel Gibson & Mickey Rourke follow the green.
It’s also Dario Franchitti in his driving machine,
So Noel Gallagher claims to be a Man.City fan,
Underneath his song writing talent, he’s a Celtic man.
While Alan McManus & John Higgins
Pot their way to snooker’s dream,
It’s in their hearts that they
Follow the bhoys in green.
Celtic’s famous supporters
Are household names,
And when they are not performing or playing,
You can catch them at a Celtic game.

Frank Skinner most definetly is not a celtic fan, he follows the Baggies and regularly goes down to the hawthorns.

Skinner is a Jungle Jim. I remember an interview with him in the Drearly rangers a few years back with the headline that ran along the lines of "MY OLD MAN TOLD ME IF I DIDN'T FOLLOW CELTIC, I WOULD GO TO HELL"

I suppose he's going to hell for reneging on his commitment.

Dara O'brian supports arsenal. I’m technically Catholic, it’s the box you have to tick on the census form: ‘Don’t believe in God, but I do still hate Rangers (http://www.talkceltic.net/wiki/Rangers_F.C.). Fair play not a celtic fan but if he hates rangers he deserves a mention. My uncle told me he was at an acdc gig and bon scott came on stage with a celtic shirt on, but this was about the same time my uncle was on acid so not gospel:87:

There was a photo of stone cold steve austin holding a rangers shirt then they asked him about it on soccer AM and he said he never heard of them lol

It was one of the biggest reliefs of my life :56: The photo was circulating for a few years. Basically, WWE were doing a few Scottish shows, and giving away a pair of free tickets for a competition. Whoever organised the competion gave Stone Cold the hun shirt to hold up, which he did. I was heart broken...but suspicious. Not too many Texas rednecks are hun supporters.

Then he appeared on Soccer AM, where they always get American guests to draw a random team out of a hat, as their team to support. Before they got him to, they asked about the picture and if he actually supported them.

He had no memory of it, didn't know who they were, which whoever the supporters were in the studio that day cheered loudly at :56:He then drew some random League Two team out of the hat, and all was well.

I know, my life was in chaos for a few minutes when I saw it! I started thinking, "maybe he's a Texas Rangers fan in baseball so he held it up because he was told 'Rangers' ", and all that, but then I thought it just COULDN'T be true, and right enough it wasn't. Still relieved when I think about it!

On a wrestling note again, Roddy Piper (although actually Canadian) has always had a Scottish character. In a 2006 show WWE did in Glasgow, he came out wearing both Celtic & Rangers scarf (probably thinking it would please both, when it obviously pleased neither). In the ring at the time was that camp tag team group The Spirit Squad, who always wore green. Obviously thinking it would upset the crowd (as they were bad guys), they grabbed the huns scarf off him ,threw it on the ground, and started jumping and spitting it, all the while the crowd was actually cheering like mad!

Wayne Rooney used to watch Celtic games when he was younger because his dad liked us so Celtic became his second favourite team (after Everton obviously).

Aye everyone from still game is a time apart from Jack (Ford Kiernan) who doesn't like/know anything about football but i'd guess from his surname he'd be one of us anyway.

Kelly Jones from Stereophonics is a tim, was in the Celtic view last year. Also an american olympic runner guy, a black guy cant mind his name and 2 american baseball players whos names i dont remember.

Jamie Carragher, James McFadden, Darren Fletcher, Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville, John Terry.

That Westlife mob as well.

A lot of Celtic fans play for Man Utd, I remember the programme there was two wee Scottish guys the two of them said they supported Hearts but sided with Rangers and some other guy and Ferguson but there was about a dozen Celtic fans like the Kitman, Rooney, O'Shea, Gibson, Fletcher, Neville and a few others.

Peter, aye, a very dear friend of mine, a very passionate Celtic supporter & a very good human being !!!:50:
He may not be at CP physically, but trust me, keeps abreast with everything Celtic as much as anyone of us in this Forum do !!!

Also, Paulo Nutini & Ex- Indian cricket captain, Saurav Ganguly.
During the 2003 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, he was the captain & introduced what he called the 'Celtic Huddle' to the Indian team. The team did the huddle before the start of every game & everytime after they got an opposition batsman out !!!!!
It was brilliant & I was real proud both as an Indian & a Celtic supporter. Anyway, India made it to the finals, but lost narrowly to Australia.

I miss going to see Celtic play, admits Hollywood hunk Gerard Butler - The Daily Record (http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/showbiz/celebrity-news/2009/12/06/i-miss-going-to-see-celtic-play-admits-hollywood-hunk-gerard-butler-86908-21877308/)

Dec 6 2009 (http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/showbiz/celebrity-news/2009/12/06/) Alan Carson, Sunday Mail (http://www.sundaymail.co.uk/)
CELTIC-DAFT Gerard Butler says the biggest drawback of being a Hollywood star is missing Hoops games.
The hunk used to be a Parkhead regular before moving to America.
Now the Law Abiding Citizen actor has to get up early if he wants to catch SPL matches screened in Tinseltown.
He said: "I'm a Celtic fan but it has been a year since I was at a game. It used to be when I was abroad I would be on the phone every week to get updates because you don't really see matches over there, especially in Los Angeles.
"In New York you can be walking past a bar and they will be showing the game. But in LA you have to be up at six in the morning.
"So over the years it gets less and less that you see games. Now when I come back I'm reminded that they are playing. That is one of the saddest things about living in LA."
Paisley-born Butler caught his boyhood heroes last year playing in a Champions League clash.
But he had to struggle into Parkhead with a giant suitcase, fearing it would be nicked if left in a car outside the stadium.
He said: "I had to drag it through thousands of fans all the way into Celtic Park.
"I then had to take it back out again. It was the most ridiculous experience."
Butler, 40, admitted he follows the floundering national team.
He said: "It's kind of sad and depressing when they play but it's the one thing I don't miss.
"I miss going to the Celtic games but I don't miss hearing the Scotland results. It seems I landed in a drastic time."

you want to stop, all this Shiite now, about who is coming. MAN utd have this who wants to be standing next to stars, so much so, the fans that like your good selfs that have supported the team through thick and thin have now found them selfs priced out of there seats, that they once owned. due to the star invasion of a football club. now if you support Chelsea is £75 Jimmy's to get in. are you listening. and they have TV support. so we don't need super stars that can buy up your seats and not attend all year.

Frank Skinner most definetly is not a celtic fan, he follows the Baggies and regularly goes down to the hawthorns.

He is a big Baggies fan mate but also supports Celtic.

He done an interview for the Celtic View when they were running the same thing as this thread.
He said "His brother is Celtic mad and constantly wears a Celtic badge".

Aye there was a programme with his interview in it too, dont know if it was the game from America or Stamford Bridge where he said he supported Celtic and Man Utd growing up, think it was actually the game from america as it was his first time playing us.

About that list:

re: Coulthard, I remember his old website had a Q&A section and he was asked what team he supported. He said he only really follows Scotland but used to go to QotS games as a boy. Unless he was simply sidestepping things to avoid alienating certain fans, or to avoid going into David Murray's bad books (seeing as he used to lease his private jet, well...until it crashed anyway). Have heard he's been at a few CL games though.

I've heard Jackie Stewart mentioned as a Celtic fan a few times though, friend of mine says he saw him a few times at CP in the 70s.

You can add Paul Di Resta, Eric and Boabby from Still Game and I think Dennis Taylor to the list too.

One that seems to be up in the air is Eddie Irvine, some say he's a Tim, some say hun. From what it's worth he's an Ulsterman who identifies himself as Irish and raced under an Irish passport (this caused some bother when he started winning races and there was some confusion over what flag to fly and what anthem to play, with Irvine saying that he wanted a neutral Irish flag and Danny Boy played. That got denied and the FIA went with the union jack and GSTQ due to his place of birth. He's mates with Eddie Jordan though and apparently was in Seville. His helmet designs often incorprated a green shamrock too.

I remember Henry Kelly complimenting a contestant on his "great taste" when he mentioned supporting Celtic on an episode of Going for Gold! And I also remember someone mentioning that Roy Walker from Catchphrase might be a fan too, although he's not open about it due to his having-to-flee-Belfast-because-he-married-a-Catholic-in-the-70s.

How about WWE wrestler Sheamus? 99.9% certain he's a Tim!
