Don’t go Lubo tells Nakamura

Don’t go! Lubo tells Nakamura

Celtic´s, ex little magician Lubomir Moravcik has urged the current sorcerer of Parkhead Shunsuke Nakamura. Too reject advances made by Italian side Bologna. Lubo said

"If AC Milan put together a bid and make Celtic an offer for you then you go. But if Bologna do the same thing the answer is no,”

"You never leave a big club like Celtic for a smaller one like Bologna. There isn't even a question to be answered.

"It all depends on how the player feels and I wouldn't pretend to know Naka's thoughts on how much longer he wants to stay in Glasgow.

"But I know the move to Celtic was the biggest thing that happened to me in my career and I would never have left them for a small team like Bologna."

Despite Lubo´s advice, Bologna’s president seems to be confident he will land his number one target he is thought to be a keen admirer of Nakamura´s. He expressed

“We want to build a great team at Bologna and the first new face I want on board is Nakamura,” said Cazzola.

"We have already formalised our offer to Celtic, so they know the conditions of the proposed transfer.

"We are waiting to hear back from Celtic about the offer once they've discussed it with the player. We hope they'll give us permission to speak to Nakamura. If they do we'll contact him to discuss the move."

Speculation about Nakamura´s future has been rife for months now. Although from comments made by Peter Lawwell and Celtic manager Gordon Strachan at the tail end of last season it seems Celtic are keen to keep hold of one of the clubs prized assets. Shunsuke himself reiterated this view when he was quoted as saying, also at the end of last season’s campaign,

"Since I have come to Celtic, we have won the championship the last three seasons running. I am playing regularly and feel I have made a bit of a contribution.

"(Celtic have) gone as far as saying they won't let me go even if a team comes along with an offer of 1.5 or 1.6 billion yen (about £7.5million) so I think they have faith in me."

It seems from reports Bologna have made a strong offer for Nakamura, perhaps it may prove to be too good for Celtic to turn down. However if it is the players sole decision to go, Then Nakamura would do well to heed Lubo´s advice and realise the opportunity of joining a small outfit like Bologna should not even be one to consider.
