Olifinjana linked, Sammy wanted & Artur Boruc world’s best!!!

Wolves Nigerian midfielder, Seyi George Olifinjana who has been transfer listed by Wolves, is today being linked with both Celtic & Blackburn Rovers in a possible 3 million pound transfer. On the 23rd June 2008, Wolves confirmed that they had accepted a transfer request from the player. The 28-year-old signed a four-year extension in October 2007, but a release clause was inserted which has now been activated. Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: "We agreed that, should the club miss out on promotion, we would circulate his name for transfer if he wished.

Georgios Samaras - SERIE A sides Lazio and Lecce are said to be making moves towards Celtic´s on loan Greek International. Samaras who played his part, scoring many vital goals in Celtic´s SPL title winning push, joined on loan during the January transfer window from Manchester City. It was thought Celtic had agreed a fee with City to make Samaras a permanent fixtures come the summer if he impressed. However with Celtic being linked with Russia´s Euro 2008 striking sensation, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Spurs & England International Darren Bent & Birmingham´s James McFadden in recent days, it seems the Parkhead club is looking elsewhere for striking talent.

Meanwhile Artur Boruc, who has been described as the best keeper in the world, by BBC pundit Alan Shearer, during their coverage of Euro 2008 - insists he is unaware of any other clubs being after him. Boruc said: "The top 10 clubs in the world are prepared to pay 15m for a striker but not a keeper. But I don't know if any other club wants me. I had a good season with Celtic and we won the championship for the third time in a row. "I enjoyed the experience of playing in the Champions League with Celtic and the European Championship with Poland although I was disappointed we didn't make the quarter-finals." It seems from Boruc´s comments that Celtic´s valuation is frightening off Europe’s elite clubs.
