AICSC Annual Charity Dinner 2008

A.I.C.S.C. 10TH ANNUAL CHARITY DINNER
in association with "The Irish Daily Star" and "Topflight Soccer"

It's that time of year again as Celtic supporters in Ireland gather for the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters' Clubs annual charity dinner on Saturday 5th July at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin for what promises to be a special night with Celtic players from past and present joining over 1,000 Irish Celtic supporters for a three-in-a-row celebration with the SPL trophy!

Now an established and not-to-be-missed fixture on the social calendar of Celtic fans in Ireland and beyond, previous years' events have been memorable and colourful occasions with a superb atmosphere. They provide the passionate Irish support with a chance to welcome its beloved club back to the land where the glorious Celtic story began and to thank the players for their efforts this season.

As A.I.C.S.C. chairman, Tom Maher, commented, this year's event, however, marks an extra-special landmark:

"We are very much looking forward to another great night of Celtic celebrations in the Citywest to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the A.I.C.S.C.. We have had a very successful decade representing Celtic supporters in Ireland through some very interesting and rewarding times and can look back with much pride on our achievements.

With Celtic now having won their third title in a row, we cannot wait to greet the SPL trophy once more. So, we look forward to another gathering of fans from the four corners of Ireland and beyond to celebrate Celtic and its Irish connection."

It has also been confirmed that Tom Boyd, captain of the Celtic team that stopped Rangers' bid for 10-in-a-row in 1998, will be in attendance at the event, as will Lisbon Lions John Fallon and Charlie Gallagher along with current first team members and the SPL Trophy. Funds from which will be donated to the O'Donnell Family Trust in memory of ex-Celt, Phil O'Donnell, who tragically passed away earlier this season.

Tickets for this event cost €70 for A.I.C.S.C. members or €80 for non-members and can be purchased by forwarding a cheque/draft/postal order made payable to the A.I.C.S.C. to Charity Dinner, PO Box 32, Belfast BT1 1AA.

For further information, please contact A.I.C.S.C. secretary Michael Kelly at +353 (0) 86 3802738.
