Celtic Halt McFadden Transfer Talk.

Celtic today have separated themselves from a deal involving Bobo Balde and £5.5million for James McFadden.

The Scotland Superstar has been on the Celtic fans' radar for a good while now and was widely tipped to join the Bhoys in January . Instead he went to Birmingham City who were later relegated to the Championship.

The club and the fans would have been glad to see the back of Bobo Balde, not because of his performances, but because he does not seem to be in Gordon Strachans plans and is one of the clubs top earners at £28,000 a week which he gets for sitting in the stands week in week out.

Clearly McFadden has talent and many Celtic fans will be disappointed not to have him at Celtic Park, but with Nakamura and Aiden McGeady staying at 'Paradise' it would be hard for McFadden to break into the first team and the transfer fee would be too much to have him sitting on the bench.
