Some of you seem to think that WGS is under pressure. I've read posts saying we should give him 1 more season to get it right. What the fuck are you all dribbling on about?
Strachan's position at board level is rock solid. In fact the board probably think he can walk on water.
He's made the club a huge amount of money through the Champions League, while simultaneously cutting the wage bill and bringing domestic success.
Any manager who can win trophies while bringing in transfer money and spending less on wages is bound to be popular in the boardroom. The only way WGS will be leaving is if he wants to go, otherwise he is going nowhere regardless of what some of you think.
In fact while I'm on my soapbox, if it had been MO'N in charge of the team this season and we had qualified for the last 16 and won the title at a canter but struggled across the finishing line, then there wouldn't have anywhere near as much moaning on here.
Because MO'N was 'one of us'. Some people just don't like WGS and never have, and there's nothing he can do to change their minds. Just bear in mind that only WGS and MO'N have managed back to back titles since Jock Stein was manager. Its an achievement which some people are far too quick to dismiss.
