There's a lesbian in Shameless if you watch that. Bit of a butch chick right enough haha. In saying that, one of the male characters in it is gay.

If you compare the ratio of straight to gay characters/people on TV, then you would see a big gap. I think it may be the case that you notice a gay person easier. But with straight people you don't think "Oh he's straight...and so is she and him and...". But when we see a gay person we instantly think "Gay person".

Shame most of us can't see past someone's sexual preference or help but notice it.
