The Hoops return to Premiership action this weekend, when they welcome the visit of 9th placed St Johnstone to Parkhead, ahead of the International break.

Last week, the Bhoys set aside a dogged Livingston 4-2 to set up a Scottish Cup Semi-Final showdown with Aberdeen next month.

That result, however, will have done little to ease concerns over the missed opportunity to return to the top of the table prior to that, following another chastizing trip to Edinburgh for Brendan Rodgers, which ended in 2-0 defeat...

The Hoops will be hungry for an immediate and emphatic response when they host Livingston this weekend in this Quarter-Final, as they continue to defend their Scottish Cup crown.

This will be the first of two encounters between these sides this month, with a league cmeeting also scheduled for after the International break - albeit that one will be held at Almondvale.

And the Parkhead faithful will be looking for an immediate response from the Celts, after another disappointing and controversial visit to Tynecastle last week, and...

~ "The Rebels Have Won!" ~
A 30th Anniversary Retrospective

It was the news that every Celtic fan had been so desperate to hear. From the steps of Celtic Park, Brian Dempsey looked out over the anxious faces of all those who had assembled, he made that emotive announcement that changed the club forever.

"The game is over. The Rebels have won!"

It is no exaggeration to say that the very continuance of Celtic had been very much under threat until that final hour, late on that wet Friday night, 30 years ago.

It was a moment that changed everything.

In honour of the 30th Anniversary of that momentous occasion, perhaps second only to November 6, 1887 in importance to the very existence of the Club, will attempt to take a look back on the reasons why it was needed and the reasons why, beginning with...

The Hoops will be looking for some payback, in addition to keeping their Premiership campaign on track, when they travel through to Edinburgh to take on 3rd placed Hearts at Ttnecastle on Sunday.

The Bhoys served a reminder of just how potent and dangerous they can be when everything clicks as it did in midweek, when they hammered Dundee, 7-1.

Despite the emphatic performance, it is important to not get too carried away at this stage though, despite closing the gap in goal difference, the Bhoys still trail...

Celtic return home tomorrow evening, for the visit of 6th placed Dundee tomorrow, knowing that they beed another win, as they look to keep the pressure in the Premiership title race.

The Celts have struggled to find consistency since November, and this was again evident against Motherwell at the weekend. A flat first half display left them trailing 1-0 at the break, before coming to life after the interval and putting together one of the most convincing second half performances in months to claim a late...
